Upcoming Events
August 10 - 20th, 2009: UH Geophysics Field School in Red Lodge, Montana. A three-credit course, in a beautiful mountain setting, providing hands-on experience with a variety of geophysical methods including well-logging, ground-penetrating radar, gravity, magnetics, GPS location, and multicomponent seismic surveying. All students will have the opportunity to make measurements with all of the instruments plus analyse and keep the data. Contact Tram at tnguye36@mail.uh.edu for further information.

April 1st, 2009; 8:30am - 4:30pm: Allied Geophysical Lab Research Presentations at the UH Hilton Plaza Room. All are welcome to a series of presentations from the new AGL including talks by Jack Casey, John Castagna, Evgeni Chesnokov, Fred Hilterman, Chris Liner, Rob Stewart, Leon Thomsen, and Bob Wiley. April 1st, 2009; 6:00pm: Annual Milton Dobrin Lecture by Dr. Harrison Schmitt (geologist, astronaut, and last man to walk on the Moon) who will deliver a talk, "Shoot for the Moon: Future energy, lunar return, and science education."
